OUR HOUSE…IN THE MIDDLE OF THE...

WEEK 16

Feeling good and just about to debut my belly, as I need “real” mommy clothes. This week began with me coming to grips with that fact that my normal fat” clothes were now too small for me. This was a tough one but I have definitely gotten a sense of humor about this. I officially wore my ‘Motherhood top I purchased when I just had found out I was 4/5 weeks pregnant and went “trifting” with Michelle. It was just an odd purchase ‘cos it was so big and tent-y looking then but now, that top is awesome. I just had a co-worker tell me she knew I was pregnant about 2 weeks ago. I just officially told her Friday after school and there is no sense in hiding, I guess, but you know I’ll try. Thankfully, most are polite and don’t ask.

I was still able to manage one last purchase at Fashion 21 (the OG Forever 21), sneaking in a large dress and top and fitting it fairly nicely. I needed a camouflage dress for Michelle’s birthday BBQ Saturday night. I am still stubborn and refuse to make an announcement of it, especially at someone else’s birthday party. Ryan, though nursing a cold, was able to go with me!! And of course, he managed, in his illness, to spill the Little Beans to our neighbor. That stinker! But a highlight was the Porto's cakes!!! I had to purchase a carrot cake so I could join in and well, so that Michelle could hog up the traditional, PARISIAN delight I had to miss out on this year for my birthday but she thoroughly enjoyed, I am sure. Look at it, wouldn't you?

Fashion aside, this week ended with Ryan and I officially becoming homeowners! What a scary feeling. We both jumped out of the plane, so to say, together. My lovely mother-in-law did mention that it was no wonder I was becoming ill and struggling through some painful headaches some weeks back with all the stresses of a pregnancy, a new job, and buying a new house. Of course I had not even thought about it that way and she was right. Maybe I overlooked these facts because everything was moving so fast, at once. The idea of stress and this pregnancy has me on high alert. I am definitely making all efforts to SLOW DOWN as much as I can because in the end, of course, what matters is this little baby, which, by the way, no sign of movement yet. Maybe during week 17 when the excitement of a new house will get him/her excited.
